Linxi is live
Linxi is a messaging platform for businesses, and today marks our official launch! The idea behind it is simple: most businesses talk to their customers over more than one channel, but manage each one in a different tool with a different contact list. Linxi puts them in one place.
One contact list, three channels
Every Linxi workspace holds a single contact list. From there, you reach people over:
- SMS, sent through a carrier (Telnyx or Twilio)
- Email, sent from the account's own mailbox
- Linxi Network, free direct messages between Linxi accounts
A campaign picks any combination of these as checkboxes — not an either/or choice. A contact is reached on whichever channels they actually support, so you build the message once and let Linxi handle the routing.
Sends at Cost
Carrier messaging is billed at cost, with no markup added on top. That's the platform's core pricing claim:
- SMS: $0.0040 per segment on Telnyx, $0.0079 on Twilio
- MMS: $0.0100 per message on Telnyx, $0.0200 on Twilio
- Email: free, since it goes out on your own mailbox
- Linxi Network: free, since no carrier is involved at all
A Linxi-managed phone number is $1.50 a month, and the first line on any paid plan is free while you're subscribed.
Compliance built in, not bolted on
SMS is a regulated channel, and Linxi treats it that way from the first campaign:
- Opt-out language ("Reply STOP to opt out") is required on every SMS campaign
- The sending business must be identified in the message
- Anyone who has texted STOP is excluded automatically and permanently
- Public URL shorteners are blocked, because carriers block them too
- US A2P 10DLC registration — a Brand and a Campaign — must be approved before a campaign will deliver
Email and Linxi Network are not SMS, and they aren't held to SMS rules. Email needs a working unsubscribe and a physical address under CAN-SPAM. Linxi Network needs neither — there's no carrier involved, so there's no STOP language and no cost.
An assistant that drafts, not sends
Every Linxi workspace comes with Linx, an assistant that can:
- Draft campaigns as a saved draft
- Write copy straight into the composer
- Build marketing-calendar plans, priced by depth: quick outline, solid plan, or full build
- Reply to inbound messages, but only where the account holder has switched that on
Linx never sends anything. A person always presses Send. Assistant messages cost $0.02 each from your prepaid balance, or nothing at all if you bring your own Anthropic key.
Plans built around real usage
Linxi's plans buy platform access and a monthly sending ceiling — not messages themselves, which are always paid from your prepaid balance:
- Free — 500 SMS/mo, 400 contacts, 2 Linxis
- Linxi Number — $5/mo, 2,000 SMS/mo, 1,000 contacts, 1 number
- Linxi Plus — $15/mo, 5,000 SMS/mo, 5,000 contacts, 5 Linxis
- Starter — $29/mo, 10,000 SMS/mo, 10,000 contacts, 3 numbers
- Pro — $79/mo, 50,000 SMS/mo, 25,000 contacts, 8 numbers
- Enterprise — $199/mo, 100,000 SMS/mo, 20 numbers
Larger deployments can arrange a Dedicated System directly with the team.
Why a unified portal
Splitting SMS, email, and direct messaging across separate tools means separate contact lists, separate compliance rules to track, and separate bills to reconcile. Linxi's bet is that a business should manage all three from one workspace, with one audience, and pay only the real carrier cost when a carrier is actually involved.
This is the first post on the Linxi blog that we've modernized to "Coms". More to come as the platform grows.
