Getting Started with Linxi
Here's the complete path from zero to sending your first message — seven steps, most of which happen on Twilio's side, not Linxi's. Each step links to its own detailed guide.
📋 About the New Twilio Console
In May 2026, Twilio launched a completely redesigned console at 1console.twilio.com. The new console is now Generally Available and is where new Twilio accounts land by default. It replaces the old console.twilio.com with a unified interface for managing channels, compliance, billing, and settings.
- console.twilio.com
- Auth Token on main dashboard
- Phone Numbers in left sidebar
- Messaging → Services
- What most guides online show
- 1console.twilio.com
- Auth Token under Settings
- Numbers under Products & services
- Unified sender onboarding
- Built-in Console Assistant
Create your Linxi account
Sign up with Google or an email/password at linxi.app/register. This is the only step that happens entirely inside Linxi — everything else below is about connecting a real phone number to it.
Create a Twilio account
Twilio is the phone carrier layer underneath Linxi — it's who actually owns the phone number and routes SMS to carriers. Linxi doesn't provision numbers on your behalf; you connect your own Twilio account. See Creating a Twilio Account.
Buy a phone number
A local US number costs about $1.15/month on Twilio. See Buying a Phone Number.
Set up your Compliance Profile (Trust Hub)
This is where you tell Twilio who your business actually is — legal name, EIN, address, and an authorized representative. It's required before you can register for A2P 10DLC, which is required before carriers (especially Verizon) will reliably deliver your messages. See Compliance Profile.
Create a Messaging Service
A container that groups your number together with your A2P registration and webhook configuration. See Messaging Service.
Register your A2P Brand and Campaign
Two separate registrations: the Brand identifies your business to carriers, the Campaign describes what kind of messages you'll actually send. Both need to be approved before carriers stop filtering your traffic. See A2P Brand and A2P Campaign.
Configure your workspace in Linxi and send
Paste your Twilio Account SID, Auth Token, phone number, and Messaging Service SID into Linxi Settings, then import your contacts and send. See Import Contacts and Send Your First Message.
