What this page is
This page separates two things that are easy to confuse. Your access level, set by the site, decides what you can use; your account type is only a self-description shown as a badge.
Open Profile in Linxi, then Account type & access in the panel list beside it. It has its own address, /account/type, so it can be bookmarked or sent to somebody directly rather than described as a series of clicks.
A look at it
What is on the screen
- Your access level, read only, since an account cannot change its own profile
- A list of account types such as Social, Sole Proprietor, Business, Agency, Nonprofit, Medical, Events and Developer
- Update Account Type button
What you can do here
- Check why a part of the site is not available to you
- Mark your account as a business or nonprofit on your profile
Who uses it
Every signed-in member; only site admins can change the access level itself.
